How do I export Neatro action items to Jira?

Neatro allows you to export action items to Jira in two ways:

  • From your Team’s Action Plan board (Option A)

  • From a retrospective report (Option B)

Choose the option that best fits your workflow.

 

Option A: Export from your Team’s Action Plan board

  1. To get started, go to your team’s Action Plan board: https://app.neatro.io/action-items

  2. Click the action item you want to export to Jira. If you don’t have any existing action items, click the + Action Item button to create one.

  3. Click the integration logo at the bottom of the action item panel to start the Jira export process.

  4. In the integration options, select Jira.

  5. If you are not already logged in to Jira, you will be prompted to sign in. Make sure you have your Jira credentials ready.

  6. Next, select the appropriate Jira project, Sprint, and issue type for the exported action item. This ensures the item is properly structured within your Jira workspace.

 

Option B: Export from a retrospective report

  1. To get started, open your retrospective report: https://app.neatro.io/retrospectives

  2. Locate the action item you want to export and click the Integrations button next to it.

  3. Select Jira from the available integrations.

  4. If you are not logged in to Jira, you will be prompted to sign in.

  5. Then choose the Jira project, Sprint, and issue type for the action item. This ensures the data aligns with your Jira project configuration.


Optional fields

We also support optional fields such as labels and project components. These options will appear in the export form if they are configured in the selected Jira project.


Troubleshooting

You may encounter an error when exporting an action item that includes a due date. In this case, make sure the Due Date field is enabled in your Jira project settings.
