1️⃣ Step 1: Choose your template

A list of your custom templates will appear.

Select the retrospective template you want to submit.

A preview window will display the structure of your activity (column content) and its description.

Review the information carefully, then click Select.

2️⃣ Step 2: Add information about your template

You will need to provide the following details:

  • Model name

  • Language

  • Category(ies)

  • Description

Why do I need to select a language?

Neatro and Neatroverse are bilingual (English and French).

Templates must be submitted in one language at a time.

If you have both English and French versions of your template, you can submit them separately.

What are categories used for?

Categories help users find templates based on their goals.

Neatroverse includes the following seven categories:

🙌 Run easy retrospectives
👀 Make a full assessment
❤️ Demonstrate vulnerability
💪 Overcome difficulties
🚀 Project yourself into the future
🤗 Improve team bonding
📘 Cultivate learnings

You can assign one or more categories to your template.

We recommend selecting only the categories that truly reflect the purpose of your retrospective. Typically, 2–3 categories are sufficient.

Is writing a description important?

Yes. The description is a critical part of your submission.

A strong description:

  • Helps users understand whether your template meets their needs

  • Differentiates your template from others

  • Communicates the tone and intent of your activity

How to write an effective description

An effective description should explain:

  • Why the template was created

  • What it is designed for

  • How to use it

A good description should be:

  • Clear and easy to read

Write as if you were explaining your template to a colleague. Use simple, natural language.

  • Detailed

Minimum length: 500 characters (including spaces).
Most Neatroverse descriptions range between 1,500 and 3,500 characters.

We recommend providing enough detail to give users confidence in using your template.

  • SEO-friendly

Many users rely on the search bar to discover activities.

Include relevant keywords that reflect your template’s purpose (for example: emotions, team alignment, sprint review, psychological safety, etc.).

  • Well structured

Use H2, H3, and H4 headings to organize your content.

Examples of helpful section titles:

  • What is the [Template Name] retrospective?

  • Who is it designed for?

  • How does it work?

  • What makes it different?

  • Tips for facilitation

Once all fields are completed, click Continue.
